Job Description: Shift Supervisor – Nights Location: Terrebonne, QC Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite Schedule: 12-hour night shift Employment Level: Mid-Level Reports To: Production Manager Position Overview Reporting to the Production Manager, the Shift Supervisor – Nights plays a critical role in ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives are met within a manufacturing environment. This position provides hands-on leadership to a unionized team operating high-performance equipment and supports the implementation of best manufacturing practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with excellent communication skills, the ability to perform under pressure, and experience supervising teams in a manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the activities of unionized hourly employees during the assigned night shift Ensure the safety of all employees by leading and enforcing comprehensive safety programs Comply with all applicable provincial and local environmental and safety regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures Optimize the use of resources to manufacture quality products efficiently and cost-effectively Support quality initiatives to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S with safety, Six Sigma, Kaizen events, and lean manufacturing Build and maintain positive employee relationships, supporting engagement, training, and development Provide coaching, guidance, and disciplinary action when required Participate in daily production meetings and communicate shift performance and issues Prepare and approve required shift documentation, including production reports and time records Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications High school diploma required; college diploma or bachelor's degree preferred 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Prior supervisory experience required Fluently bilingual in English and French, both written and spoken Willingness and ability to work 12-hour night shifts Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience working with an ERP system Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising employees in a unionized manufacturing environment Understanding of basic printing technologies; flexographic (Flexo) printing experience considered an asset Experience supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives #IND1 #ZR
