About the Opportunity Under the supervision of the Nutrition & Food Service supervisor and manager of Nutrition and Food Services, the Red Seal Cook independently, and within a team, prepares meals using standardized quantity recipes for patient food services operations, as well as for clientele for the cafeteria/catering/retail services. The Red Seal Cook, in collaboration with the other cooking staff, is also responsible for menu planning and maintaining a high standard of sanitation and safety in an institutional food service operation.About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Grade 12 or equivalent required Red Seal cooking certification required Consideration may be given to those with an equivalent combination of education and experience if there are no successful applicants that meet this requirement Serv Safe Advanced course required One year food service experience required Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (lifting, bending, walking, standing) Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.Hours Temporary. Full- Time, 75 Hours Bi- Weekly Approximately 12 Months Compensation and Benefits $25.24 - $28.22 Hourly
