How you will contributeYou will: Assistwith the cultural transformationregardingHealth, Safety and Environment (HSE) to help drive plant to achieve Zero accidents and Incidents Support implementation of all HSE programs and processes Support execution of annual plans for facility/function wide HSE initiatives Provide Health, Safety and Environmentexpertisefor the facility/functions and for all new projects and change management activities Support completion ofappropriate riskassessments, and ensure follow ups implemented to minimize oreliminateincidents or asset losses that might cause harm to one of the company’s employees, contractors, visitors Participate in investigations to understand all elements of incidents Support Root Cause Analysis to ensure identification and closure ofidentifiednon-conformances toeliminatereoccurrences Support development of technical guidance programs toidentifyand remove physical hazards` Support the site in its integrated lean six sigma IL6S journey by helping to implement the tools to build a stronger culture What you will bringA desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:Experience as a Health, Safety and Environment Professional preferably within a manufacturing or commercial environment Knowledge of legislation, regulations, and standards related to Environment and Safety Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels Strong multi-tasking and time management skills to meet deadlines Computerproficiencyin Microsoft Office (word, excel etc.) and other software programs Ability to work independently and as a team More about this roleWhat extra ingredients you will bring:Support a safety culture that is aligned with Mondelez Canada Inc. goals and objectives of the plantSupport improvement in HSE results and processes resulting in reduction of injuries, and the identification of hazards in the workplaceAssist in coordinating HSE compliance and risk assessment activities through functional teamsParticipate in and/or provide information to others conducting HSE inspections, HSE audits, and incident investigationsDevelop HSE communication materials for the plant and coordinate engagement activitiesDevelop, coordinate and deliver HSE training programsCreate Purchase Orders and other administrative tasks as requiredSchedule and participate in HSE meetings (JHSC, standard governance, HSE pillar, DMS, etc.) and track follow up on actions to completionConduct data collection, reporting and trends analysis on HSE metrics (incidents, inspections, environmental data, etc.)Collect, monitor and analyze environmental data and performance as it relates to carbon, water and food.Assist the operations team with the return-to-work program and worker’s compensation claims.Education / Certifications:Post-secondary education in Health, Safety, Environmental, Engineering, or a related fieldCanadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) Certification is desirable however NOT mandatory.Job specific requirements:Background in manufacturing.3+ years of work experience in Health, Safety and Environment preferably in a manufacturing environmentTravel requirements:Occasional travel may be required for training, conferences, or site visits.Work schedule:Full-time 100% in-person position located at 45 Ewen Road, Hamilton, ON L8S3C4Typical work hours are Monday to Friday, with flexibility to address urgent issues as needed 24/7. Attendance in meetings and trainings on off shifts may also be required periodically. The expected base salary range for this position is $84,500 to $105,650 CAD depending on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget.
