We provide a wide range of aviation and related services to domestic and international marketsWe are actively seeking Aircraft Tow Operators to join our team in St. Johns, NL. This role is essential in ensuring our aircraft are efficiently moved and thoroughly prepared for flight, supporting timely and effective operations.As an Aircraft Tow Operator, you will be responsible for the safe movement of aircraft to and from various facilities and ensuring they are ready for departure. This position involves shift work and requires flexibility, dedication, and self-motivation to achieve flight readiness standards under various conditions.Duties and Responsibilities:Safely operate equipment to move aircraft between hangars, terminals, and runways.Conduct pre-flight preparation tasks to ensure aircraft readiness for departure.Perform daily checks on movement and preparation equipment and complete required paperwork.Marshall and reposition aircraft as necessary for operational needs.Engage in hangar clean-up, ensuring stock of aircraft grooming supplies.Maintain order and cleanliness in ramp and supply areas, ensuring they are free from trash and debris.Adhere to strict time constraints and schedules to facilitate efficient aircraft movements.Ensure compliance with PAL safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.Engage in self-study and preparation for necessary airport-related testing and certification.Assist in aircraft maintenance activities to support operational efficiencyPerform other related duties as assigned.Skill Requirements:Required: A minimum two years of relevant experience in aviationPreferred: Experience as Aircraft Maintenance Engineer ApprenticeStrong attention to detail to ensure high standards in aircraft preparation and movement.Proficient and confident in operating aircraft movement equipment.Flexibility to adapt to various shifts, including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.Ability to work effectively within strict timelines and adapt to changing schedules.Self-motivated and capable of executing tasks independently.Strong commitment to safety standards and procedural adherence.Willingness to work outdoors in noisy environments under varying weather conditions.Physical capability to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods and lift weights up to 50 lbs.Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.Completion of High School.Valid Driver’s License with a clean Driver's Abstract.Possess no criminal background and ability to obtain Security Clearance at airports.Capability and initiative to self-study and prepare for airport-required testing and certification.What We Offer to our PALs:Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.Defined Contribution Pension Plan.Employee Stock Purchase Plan.Employee Tuition Assistance Program.Employee and Family Assistance Program.Personal travel privileges with PAL and interline agreements with multiple airlines.PAL Technical Services is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment that celebrates and encourages diversity, equity, and inclusion whereby individuals are recognized, supported, and respected.
