You will be a motivated, detail-oriented self-starter with at least five (5) years of experience in environmental site assessment and consulting services. You will be responsible for various project-related tasks reporting to the Environmental Manager. Our Ottawa office operates as a smaller team dynamic, working under the support of a larger corporate entity. You will be exposed to a variety of clients and projects across a wide array of industries.What a day at EXP has in store for youOverseeing the planning and execution of Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) to CSA and O. Reg. 153/04 requirementsOverseeing the planning and execution of excess soil to O Reg. 406/19 requirementsWorking familiarity with Ontario Regulation 153/04 and Ontario Regulation 406/19Execution or willingness to learn Record of Site Condition (RSC) filing processProposal preparation, budget tracking, cost control and invoicingTechnical report preparationLiaising with contractors and clientsEvaluating data and proposing solutionsTraining and mentoring junior staffExperience in completing peer reviews of technical documents and reportsNurturing strong client relationships and willingness to participate in business development activitiesWhat your experience looks like5+ years of experience in environmental assessments and excess soilUniversity degree in a related field of study such as Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology or GeologyLicensure or potential for licensure for . or . license in Ontario including Qualified Person designationExperience conducting Phase I and II ESAs, remediation programs, excess soil management plansWorking knowledge of 153/04 and 406/19 as amendedStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills, as well as advanced technical writing abilitiesExperience in budget management, report preparation, and client relationship managementAbility to solve problems, troubleshoot, and put forth creative solutionsA valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are requiredAbility to converse and/or write in French is an assetThis job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.
