Hours: Mon-Fri, 3:15pm to 1:45am. Company Description: Plainsman Mfg. Inc. is a locally owned manufacturing and distribution company operating out of Edmonton, Alberta since 1966. We manufacture and distribute products for oilfield production, pipeline maintenance, construction and gas and water distribution. We have an in-house engineering department and a full-service manufacturing facility that enables us to respond efficiently to the customer and industry needs. Job Duties/Responsibilities: CNC programming. Overseeing the production process and scheduling.  Ensuring timely and efficient work order completion.  Supervising the Quality Control department and assisting as required. Following company guidelines and procedures with regard to work order/information flow. Working closely with managers to identify and implement the company's goals and objectives. Enforcing safety and sanitation regulation. Monitoring product standards and quality.  Identifying production problems and work with team leaders/programmers to resolve them. During understaffed periods assisting with the organization and restocking of the tool room. Apply lean principles to manufacturing process to increase quality and reduce waste Willing to run machines if needed. Secondary Responsibilities: Miscellaneous tasks as requested by manager. Assisting in the employee performance review process. Assisting in the resolution of employee complaints and grievances. If necessary assisting programmers and or operators with production issues. During busy and or understaffed periods assisting with the operation of high demand equipment. Skills/Experience Requirements:  Knowledge on CNC Lathe/Mills. CNC programming. Supervisor experience (preferred). High school diploma (preferred).  Computer knowledge. Good communication. Problem solving & trouble shooting. Understanding of Lean manufacturing.
