This role is central to shaping quality proposals, guiding proposal strategy, managing complex submissions, and overseeing a pipeline of opportunities across government, non-profit, and corporate sectors. The Proposal Manager brings structure and leadership to the process, ensuring every submission is competitive, compelling, and aligned with real-world outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Lead the full lifecycle of proposals and funding applications, from opportunity research and strategic framing to drafting, submission, and post-submission follow-upManage timelines, workflow, and quality control for multiple concurrent proposals, ensuring deadlines are met and standards upheldDirectly oversee the preparation of grant applications, RFP responses, and technical submissions, ensuring clarity, compliance, and strategic alignmentDevelop and maintain proposal infrastructure, including templates, organizational profiles, and reusable content librariesCollaborate with leadership, project teams, and subject-matter experts to capture insights, data, and outcomes that strengthen submissionsMonitor and analyze funding landscapes and procurement trends to identify high-value opportunities for Forward Creative and our clientsProvide coaching, feedback, and mentorship to staff supporting proposal developmentBuild and maintain strong relationships with procurement officials and government agenciesYour Skills & Experience:A clear, structured writer with strong attention to detail and the ability to work across multiple industries and proposal types.Confident navigating granting systems, RFP portals, and submission processes, especially in government and nonprofit contexts.Able to distill complex or technical information into concise, accessible, and persuasive content.Experienced in technical writing, business development, or public sector documentation.Strong communicator and collaborator with the ability to manage timelines and feedback from multiple stakeholders.Comfortable balancing multiple priorities and working to tight deadlines.Familiarity with proposal evaluation criteria and the funding landscape.Cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with procurement officials and government agenciesWhat You Bring:Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in grant writing, proposal development, or technical communications.Experience managing a proposal group within a professional services firmExperience writing for nonprofits, small businesses, or government clients.Strong research, writing, and editing skills, with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and impact.Proficiency in Google Workspace; experience with CRM or grant management software.High standards, accountability, and a commitment to quality and impact.Benefits:Health and dental coveragePaid sick leaveVacation Commission OpportunityBonus structure based on performance and impact Growth & Learning:Onboarding and coaching from senior team leadsProfessional Development Hours (PDH)Purpose-driven work across government, community, and business sectors We are a high-performing team with real opportunity for leadership and impact.
