Description Based in our downtown Montreal office, the Senior Analyst, Private Markets will report to the President & Chief Investment Officer and will be responsible for assisting in the execution of the Company’s private markets investment strategy, primarily through the evaluation, due diligence, recommendation, and monitoring of relevant opportunities. The ideal candidate is a highly versatile investment professional who is inquisitive, resourceful, and proactive. We are looking for a professional with private equity investing or corporate M&A experience and strong analytical acumen. Main Responsibilities Contribute to and assist in executing the firm’s private markets investment strategy Analyze and prepare investment recommendations primarily for Fund opportunities (and from time to time, Direct and Co-investment opportunities), delineating merits and risks Develop tools, databases, and financial and valuation models to assist in the investment process Analyze market conditions and private equity trends to assist in formulating timely and appropriate investment strategies and recommendations Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on potential investments and conduct due diligence, including financial, tax, legal, and accounting Assist in evaluating specific investment opportunities in diverse sectors, geographies, and strategies Ensure compliance with investment agreements Maintain relationships with relevant staff of external partners and the investment community Responsible for investments monitoring and performance reporting Responsible for the Quarterly investment report preparation and related research The candidate’s responsibilities will also include assisting the Public Markets investment team, primarily in performing market and sector research for developing macro/ETF investment recommendations for internally managed public equity investments.
