Under the direction of the Facilities Coordinator, the Building Custodian will perform an array of janitorial duties. Building Custodians are responsible for keeping the facilities clean and sanitary.  In this role, you would find yourself mopping, polishing and maintaining floors, dusting, washing windows and walls, cleaning washrooms including toilets and urinals, emptying garbage receptacles and cleanup both in and outdoors.  You would also ensure the entrances are shoveled and clear for the safety of guests. This position will report to the Iqaluit Aquatic Centre, and may require occasional reporting to other City facilities. Requirements: Minimum Grade 10 education; Experience performing janitorial duties; Valid Class 5 Driver’s License ; Attention to detail for the cleanliness of the facilities, and maintaining accurate records of cleaning logs and inventory of products; Knowledge and or experience with WHMIS; CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain; Punctuality and reliability; In good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50lbs; Availability to work Wednesday to Sunday 1-9 p.m. with flexibility for changes for program requirements and facility bookings. Sous la direction du coordonnateur des installations, le concierge s’acquitte de diverses tâches d’entretien.  Les personnes à ce poste sont responsables de maintenir les installations propres et salubres.  Dans le cadre de cette fonction, vous aurez à nettoyer, cirer et entretenir les planchers, à épousseter, à laver les fenêtres et les murs, à nettoyer les salles de bains, y compris les toilettes et les urinoirs, à vider les poubelles et à nettoyer l’intérieur et l’extérieur.  Vous devrez également vous assurer que les entrées sont pelletées et dégagées pour la sécurité de la clientèle. Ce poste relèvera du Centre aquatique d’Iqaluit et pourra nécessiter de se présenter occasionnellement dans d’autres installations municipales. Exigences : Avoir terminé au moins la 10 e  année d’études secondaires; Avoir une expérience en tant que concierge; Être titulaire d’un permis de conduire de classe 5 valide; Avoir un souci du détail au niveau de la propreté des installations et de la tenue de registres des opérations de nettoyage et de l’inventaire des produits; Avoir une connaissance ou une expérience du SIMDUT; Être titulaire d’une certification valide de RCR et de premiers soins ou capacité à l’obtenir; Être une personne ponctuelle et fiable; Être en bonne condition physique et capable de soulever des charges allant jusqu’à 50 kg; Il faut être disponible pour travailler du mercredi au dimanche, de 13 h à 21 h, et avec une certaine flexibilité pour les changements liés aux exigences du programme et à la réservation des installations.
