They support patient care by practicing within the Advanced Care Paramedic scope of practice and demonstrating competencies in the provision of care.The Advanced Care Paramedic accepts responsibility for maintaining and continually enhancing competencies through ongoing professional development, including participation in education programs, research, and continuous quality activities. Advanced Care Paramedics practice and conduct are defined by the professional registration body (EHSNS), and they are responsible for ensuring that registration is current and valid.The Advanced Care Paramedic contributes to the efficiency and effective functioning of the department in meeting patient needs.
