Job Description

BMO is currently sourcing for a Big Data Architect position on a 6 - month contract.

This is a position within BMO's Data & Analytics Group (DnA).

Here are some of the key requirements and responsibilities included in this role:

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):


• Be responsible for the planning, implementation, and growth of the AWS cloud infrastructure and Data analytics services.

• Knowledge Build, release, and manage the configuration of all production systems

• Manage a continuous integration and deployment methodology for server-based technologies

• Work with architecture and engineering teams to design and implement any scalable software services

• Ensure necessary system security by using best in class cloud security solutions

• Stay current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating which ones would be a good fit for the company

• Support continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines when necessary

• Recommend process and architecture improvements and create architectures

• Troubleshoot the system and solve problems across all platform and application domain.

• Oversee pre-production acceptance testing to ensure the high quality of a company's services and products

Qualifications

Big Data (Spark, Hadoop, Hive): 5 years (Required)Cloud Experience: 4 years (Required)Data Architecture: 4 years (Required)Data Mapping: 4 years (Required)Banking/Financial Industry: 4 years (Desired)
