Their duty is to ensure that the client’s needs are met while also making sure that the project is progressing in the right direction. The client project manager looks after the client’s interests and addresses any potential roadblocks or misunderstandings before they become major obstacles. The Client Project Manager at NuWave leads the end-to-end delivery of bespoke microwave heating/drying systems—from design freeze to manufacturing, testing (FAT), shipment, installation, and customer acceptance. Acting as the central integrator across engineering, operations, procurement, and clients, you bring structure, predictability, and visibility to every project. You use modern tools (MS Teams, MS Planner, Decisions AI, and shared dashboards) to keep teams aligned, risks visible, and decisions documented. Success in this role is built on disciplined planning, proactive communication, and driving accountability across departments.Duties and Responsibilities:Project Planning & Execution:Managing the project from the client's perspective: Lead meetings, coordinate consultants, and manage communication across the team.Build and maintain project schedules for full system builds, including engineering, fabrication, assembly, testing, FAT, and delivery.Create work breakdown structures and assign tasks using MS Planner, Decisions AI, Teams, and shared dashboards.Track progress and ensure cross-functional alignment on design freezes, procurement milestones, and shop readiness.Facilitate kickoff meetings, milestone reviews, and structured handoffs.Address potential roadblocks and play a crucial role in the success of projects by ensuring clients needs are met.Scope & Change Control:Manage scope boundaries and ensure changes follow the right approval path.Update cost/schedule impacts and communicate them early.Maintain a clear change log shared with engineering and leadership.Technical Project Coordination:Work closely with engineering to confirm specifications, design changes, and scope adjustments.Translate technical requirements into clear task lists for manufacturing, procurement, and assembly teams.Use AI-assisted tools to generate meeting summaries, decision logs, and updated project documents.Procurement, Vendor & Supply Chain Alignment:Monitor long-lead components and coordinate purchasing priorities with procurement.Track POs, delivery status, and vendor performance.Escalate material risks early and adjust build schedules proactively.Manufacturing & Assembly Coordination:Synchronize timelines between engineering, shop floor, and test/QA processes.Maintain real-time visibility of parts readiness, build status, and blockers.Run weekly build readiness checks (people, parts, tools, testing requirements).Shipping, Logistics & Customer Delivery:Coordinate crate prep, outgoing logistics, freight bookings, and documentation.Ensure FAT documentation, installation plans, and customer communications are aligned before shipment.Support on-site installation scheduling and post-delivery follow-through.Communication, Documentation & Decision Support:Maintain a shared project folder structure with real-time updates.Document decisions, change requests, design clarifications, and scope adjustments.Use Teams channels and Planner boards to keep all departments aligned—no information silos.Publish weekly status reports including schedule health, risk log, and next actions.Maintain clear communication loops with leadership, ensuring issues, tradeoffs, and decisions are surfaced early.Risk Management & Issue Resolution:Identify schedule, scope, and resource risks early; propose mitigation plans.Drive blockers to resolution by engaging the right people quickly.Ensure changes are captured, approved, and communicated. Key Results (within 12 months):95% of projects consistently delivered on time or with clear early visibility of delays.Standardized project templates, dashboards, and decision logs implemented across teams.100% of projects using consistent MS Planner and Teams workflows.Improved coordination between engineering, procurement, and operations—reducing rework and missed dependencies.Predictable build and shipping readiness, with fewer last-minute scrambles.Clear, concise weekly reporting for leadership and cross-functional teams.Qualifications:Education:Degree in Science, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.PMP, CAPM, or project management training is an asset.Training in manufacturing, industrial technology, or supply-chain coordination is helpful.Experience:4–7 years of project management experience in manufacturing, custom equipment, engineered products, or technology integration.Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams (engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly).Experience coordinating custom fabricated or machine-build projects.Experience with Microsoft Teams, MS Planner, Excel, and digital collaboration tools.Exposure to AI-assisted decision tools considered an advantage.Skills & Abilities:Strong project planning, scheduling, and task coordination skills.Technically confident—able to understand engineering terminology and translate it into actionable plans.Excellent communicator—clear written updates, structured meetings, and concise summaries.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined in follow-through.Able to drive accountability while maintaining strong working relationships.Comfortable in fast-moving technical environments with evolving scope.Comfortable talking with key decision makers, CEO’s and owners.Ideal Personality Profile:Structured – thrives with clarity, predictability, and organized execution.Proactive – anticipates problems and pushes decisions forward early.Calm – steady under pressure, good at managing shifting priorities. Clear Communicator – simplifies complex information and keeps teams aligned.Accountable – owns outcomes, not just tasks.Collaborative – works well across engineering, operations, and leadership.Systems Thinker – sees how decisions in engineering affect procurement, production, and testing.
