With customers’ mission-critical needs always in mind, our employees deliver end-to-end technology solutions connecting the space, air, land, sea and cyber domains in the interest of national security.About your next Challenge as a CF188 Life Support Equipment and Systems Technician:Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the CF188 Life Support Systems and Equipment Technician is responsible to perform on and off aircraft Aircraft Life Support Systems and Equipment (LSS & ALSE) maintenance activities in support of First and Second line maintenance Units.What will you do: Perform work on aircraft life support systems and equipment (on and off aircraft) in accordance with Canadian Forces Technical Instruction (CFTO), technical drawings, work instructions and other applicable technical references;Maintain necessary ALSE-related test and support equipment;Keep current with current and new technologies (hardware / software); Conduct maintenance activities on related systems, such as:o Aircraft Life Support Equipment;o Aircraft Life Support Systems;o Liquid Oxygen (LOX) System;o Oxygen Storage;o Oxygen Purging;o Fire Extinguishing System;o Ejection System;o Windshield and Canopy System.Provide Hand-on support to Military and L3 Harris technicians and Units on a required basic;Report any un-airworthy conditions discovered;Work in close collaboration with military personnel; andCarry out duties as directed by the Site Manager and L3HarrisRequired Skills and Experiences:Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience;Preferred Additional Skills:Knowledge of DMS;Knowledge of SAP;Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);Endorsement on CF188 (asset); andExperience in LOX storage and replenishment.Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):• Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.• Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).At L3Harris, we foster an inclusive and equitable workplace.
