Job DescriptionRole: QA SDET - Backend testing (API / AWS / Node.js)Experience: 8–10 YearsJob ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain backend API test automation covering:Functional testingIntegration testingPerformance and load testingValidate multi-step document generation and location resolution workflows.Create mocks for external product/rate services to support isolated testing.Design and manage dynamic test data strategies.Implement negative and error-injection scenarios, including:TimeoutsMissing or invalid metadataMeasure, analyze, and report performance baselines; tune test harnesses for accuracy.Validate application logging and metrics using AWS CloudWatch and OpenSearch.Collaborate closely with developers on TDD story refinement and test strategy.Provide ongoing quality metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and QA best practices.Must-Have Skills8–10 years of overall IT experience with 3–5+ years in backend QA automation.Strong experience in backend API automation testing.Hands-on experience testing AWS services, including:AWS LambdaAPI GatewayDynamoDBStrong Node.js scripting experience for test automation.Experience with API testing tools, including Postman (custom scripts).Exposure to performance and load testing tools and methodologies.Solid understanding of test data management and mocking strategies.Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with TDD collaboration.Good-to-Have SkillsExperience validating observability and monitoring, including:AWS CloudWatchOpenSearchStrong discipline in test data mocking and service virtualization.Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices testing patterns.RequirementsExperience (Years): 8-10
