How Schlegel Villages supports our Team Members: Personal & Professional Growth - We grow 8 out of 10 leaders internally Ongoing Training and Development Opportunities Benefits and access to our Employee Family Assistance Program Discounts at Village Services Team Appreciation Events and Points Program Access to The Wilfred Schlegel Hope Fund - Financial Hardship Program Loans and Scholarship Programs Retirement Savings Uniforms & Aspiration T-Shirts To be successful as our new Director of the PAL, you will: Have a Degree in Kinesiology with a focus on psychomotor behaviour and exercise rehabilitation Member in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario Provide leadership and direction for the development, and evaluation of comprehensive operational policies and programs for the Village PAL program Coordinates with external stakeholders including the LHIN regarding OT/PT services, vendor relations for application resident equipment, external service providers for additional therapy/exercise programs Provide leadership, support and evaluates PAL programs and projects including restorative, restraints, falls, care conferences, and research to practice initiatives Coordinates with external stakeholders including the LHIN regarding OT/PT services, vendor relations for application resident equipment, external service providers for additional therapy/exercise programs Participates in Village interdisciplinary team meetings or committees as appropriate, while communicating and working in collaboration with other interdisciplinary team members Provide leadership to the PAL Coordinator and supports PAL Students, Volunteers and contracted therapy services who assist with the PAL program Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the role It would be an asset if our new PAL Coordinator has: Experience working in a Long-Term Care setting Current Heart Save Level of CPR As a new Director of the PAL Program, you will: Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of care to our residents. You will work as key members of our Village, Leadership Team and neighbourhood multidisciplinary teams to understand residents’ needs, and advocate for residents to actively participate in decisions about their physical care.
