We offer various shifts: Rotating Day Shift (continental) Monday to Thursday Nightshift Weekend Nightshift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) Title:Plumbing ApprenticeDepartment:PlumbingReports To:Production SupervisorOverviewThePlumbing ApprenticewillassisttheJourneypersonPlumber(s) in installation, maintenance, and repairs associated with plumbing and heating requirements for a large manufacturing environment.Roles & ResponsibilitiesExcellent facilitation, investigation,and problem-solving skills.Sets prioritiesonwork assignments and hasabilityto meet established deadlines.Able to braze/solder copper pipe.Able to work with PVC pipe.Experiencewithhandand powertools.Participatein proper clean-ups to ensure an efficient and safe work environment.Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance,and repair techniques.Performs all dutiesin accordance withSilent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.Other duties asrequired.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesRegistered as aPlumbing Apprentice in Alberta and enrolled in a recognized trade school. Ability to work under the supervision ofJourneypersonplumbers, as part of a team, and independently in a busy environment.Experience with routine electrical maintenance operationsisan asset.Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.Able to work well under pressure.Strong attention to detail.Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionallyat all times.Working Conditions24/7 availability may berequired.Physical ability tolift upto 50lbs.Travel to off-site locations may berequired.Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).Overtime asrequired.Hazards associated withthe trade.Work both indoors andoutdoors,may be exposed to construction sites.ContactsCommunication is primarily internal to the assigned work team andProduction Supervisor.#CANPlumbers
