Main missions In conjunction with the Chief Investment Officer, the Senior Director, Private Investments, will participate in the research, investment and monitoring program for alternative strategy managers with a particular emphasis on private markets funds, including:< /p> • Assist the Chief Investment Officer in prioritizing manager research, both in terms of selecting preferred strategies and selecting the most appropriate managers; • Lead the search for new managers in the vast investment universe and submit documented recommendations to the Chief Investment Officer and the Investment Committee; • Perform detailed due diligence on all shortlisted managers. This includes analyzing all aspects of the business and operations, investment strategy, risk management process and portfolio construction; • Continuously monitor the current portfolio of managers and comparable peers while ensuring that an appropriate level of documentation is maintained; • Recommend any changes or terminations that should be made to the existing portfolio of managers proactively; • Support the coordination of transactions (subscriptions and redemptions) in private market funds by working closely with internal partners, including the Chief Investment Officer, the Director of Operations and the Chief Compliance Officer; > • Actively participate in client meetings by providing on-demand updates on investments held and potential investments; • Seek ways to strengthen existing relationships with external managers, peer networks; • Lead special projects or perform other duties as required by the Chief Investment Officer. Patrimonica Asset Management Inc. and its Wealth Management Advisory division iNFiNi-t PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Profile wanted • At least 10 years of experience in an external manager selection and due diligence role; • CFA designation; • Bachelor's or Master's degree with a concentration in finance or a closely related field. Knowledge and skills • Solid understanding of investment and operational processes; • Strong analytical skills and understanding of cause/effect; • Good knowledge of the different strategies used by private market funds (buyout, growth, venture capital, private debt, real estate development, infrastructure…); • Good understanding of financial instruments as well as the risk-return relationship associated with each of them; • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; • Experience with Bloomberg or other financial applications; • Bilingualism: excellent communication skills (oral and written) in French and English; • Excellent presentation skills; • Autonomy within a team structure; • Initiative, innovation, flexibility and intellectual curiosity; • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external contacts at all organizational levels; • Ability to think strategically; • Ability to challenge with respect and diplomacy; • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
