Job DescriptionThe Occupational Therapist will report to the Clinical Services Manager, Seniors Health, and the Assistant Clinical Services Manager. The successful candidate will provide quality occupational therapy services within a client-centred framework, supporting the neurological rehabilitation and seniors clinics. Accountabilities:Determine the physical, perceptual, cognitive and functional status of patients through administration of formal and informal assessments, plan and implement interventions to enhance overall functioning, and make recommendations regarding resources to support the patient/family in the communityProvide education to the patients, their families/caregivers, students and interdisciplinary team members, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings, committees and quality initiatives in the program and Occupational Therapy team as neededProvide education on dementia and providing non-pharmacological interventions for the management of behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementiaPractice in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the COTOQualificationsBSc or MSc in occupational therapy or equivalentRegistered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of OntarioMembership in CAOT or OSOT preferredFluent in English (reading, writing, speaking and comprehension)At least five years of recent experience practicing in geriatric and neurological rehabilitationGeriatric certificate preferredExperience with psychosocial, cognitive, perceptual and physical health related assessment and intervention skills addressing occupational performanceDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of an inter-professional patient care teamAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with excellent time management and organizational skills requiredExcellent communication and interpersonal skills requiredExperience facilitating small groups (education and exercise) is an assetGood critical thinking and problem-solving skills requiredExcellent attendance, punctuality and work recordMay be required to travel between and work at all Osler sitesAdditional InformationHours: Currently days, eight hour shifts (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)Salary: Minimum: $42.56 per hour Maximum: $55.89 per hour Application Deadline: February 11, 2026#TFT#LI-HT1 Osler values inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
