Carleton Dining Services would love to have you on our team We are hiring full-time and part-time Cooks to join our team in the Food Court and the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall on Carleton University campus.  Our Cooks are responsible for preparing high-quality food, sometimes in front of the customer at action stations, and will require strong customer service skills. What We OfferHealth benefits (full-time employees)Training and development opportunitiesEmployee recognition programs including service awardsMeal programStrong focus on a safe and healthy work environmentDiverse and inclusive workforce About the Job Cook food following recipes for a high-volume kitchenEnsure adherence to recipes to meet any dietary requirementsTake culinary lead on the floor within the locationEnsure consistent quality, preparation, and presentation of foodProvide courteous, professional customer service at all timesAssist with controlling waste and spoilageAssist with culinary auditing, and food safety measuresAssist with weekly inventoryMaintain continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work areaEnsure adherence to all of Aramark Policies and ProceduresMay perform other job duties as requiredAbout YouExperience in the Culinary fieldExperience with basic food preparation and various cooking methodsKnowledge of food, sanitization, and health and safety standardsExcellent communication skillsAbility to prioritize tasksProblem solvingPlanning and organizing skillsEnjoy working with others in a team setting The selected candidate for this position will need to complete and successfully pass a Criminal Background Check. About AramarkAt Aramark, we empower our people to create moments that matter through exceptional hospitality experiences.
