Position: Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) Location: Castlegar, BC Hours: 8- and 12-hour shifts; 8 – 40 hours per week Summary: Axis is currently recruiting Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for our holistic, community-based Withdrawal Management Program in Castlegar, BC. We are a small team who work closely together to offer a welcoming, safe, caring, culturally relevant, and non-judgmental climate for individuals taking their first steps towards substance misuse recovery. Axis provides a positive working environment utilizing a person-centered approach to meet the specific needs of each individual. This role is best suited for empathetic Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) with a keen interest in a harm reduction approach. All services offered in the program are evidence-based and client-directed to focus on building strength and resiliency in the person served. Services include recovery planning, regular monitoring of withdrawal symptoms, medication management, peer support, counselling, and Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT) when applicable. This position also qualifies for the British Columbia student loan forgiveness program.
