JOB PURPOSEAs a member of the interdisciplinary team, provides quality patient care within the scope of professional nursing practice.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONSActive registration with ANBLPNCurrent BCLS certificationWilling to participate in continuing education/certification programs (i.e. breastfeeding certification, non-violent crisis intervention, Periop 101, ASIST, etc.) as outlined during orientation and onboarding within a defined timeframe.Minimum 1 year recent and direct experience (within last 5 years) in Mental Health, obstetricial and medical/surgical patients, etc. may be required depending on the department. A combination of relevant work experience and related education training will be considered. Demonstrated assessment skills and ability to respond to emergent situations and prioritize care.Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to relevant legislation.Good work and attendance record.Ability to perform the duties of the position.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPatient Care:Prioritizes and delivers care to patients within a collaborative setting, seeking clinical guidance as required.Professionally communicates and consults with all members of the interdisciplinary team.Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients while adhering to professional boundaries.Maintains documentation standards.Provides holistic patient care and therapeutic measures to meet patient care needsParticipates in the development of the plan of care in collaboration with the health care team, patients, and family members.
