We are seeking a diligent and proactive Security Guard to join our Facilities team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety and protection of our buildings, employees, and visitors across multiple sites. The ideal candidate is attentive, reliable, and capable of responding swiftly and professionally to a variety of situations, from routine security checks to emergency incidents.Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:Reporting to the General Manager of FacilitiesGeneral building security conducting regular spot checks for multiple sites, parking lots and surveillanceComplete and maintain daily logsRespond to alarm situations such as fire, door breaches and alarmsConduct investigations such as lost person, occurrences where loss or damage has taken place, and first aidLiaison with all emergency agencies including Police, Fire and AmbulanceProvide escorts and security assistance to employees if requiredQualifications:Post-Secondary education from a Security Program preferred.Good verbal and written English communication skillsAbility to work under minimal supervisionMust have a Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License.Be able to work a flexible schedule of 10:00 pm – 6:30 am What we Offer:Employer funded benefits program Competitive total compensation packageWork-Life BalanceEmployee assistance planEmployee Discount Platform Career Progression Casual Work Environment Social Events and Sports TeamsOnsite Counsellor
