We believe in the power of purpose, the strength of collaboration, and the value of continuous learning.  If you’re ready to make a real impact in a dynamic industry, you bring the energy and we’ll provide the platform. ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a SAP S/4HANA Operations & SCM Lead to join our IT Team on a full time basis.  In this role, you’ll report to the SAP Manager and will play a key part in leading optimization and stabilization initiatives for our freshly upgraded S/4HANA on RISE environment. This leadership role requires proven expertise in managing post-upgrade optimization, coordinating with outsourced vendor teams, and driving operational excellence across Ariba, SCM, Resource Scheduling, and Service Asset Management in a newly upgraded S/4HANA environment. This position is based at our Downtown Calgary Head Office, with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.    A DAY IN THE LIFE Strategic Leadership: Lead post-upgrade optimization and stabilization position for EAM (RSH, SSAM, WCM), Ariba, and SCM modules within our newly upgraded S/4HANA environmentCoordinate complex operations projects with outsourced development teams and internal stakeholders for customizations and integrationsDevelop integrated roadmap for supply chain digitization leveraging new S/4HANA upgrade capabilities Operational Excellence: Recommend and support business process reengineering initiatives leveraging S/4HANA capabilitiesImplement optimization and automation opportunitiesProvide Level 3 support and escalation resolution for complex supply chain issues Technical Leadership:Serve as subject matter expert for S/4HANA Asset Operations and Supply Chain module configurations and customizationsOversee integration requirements between S/4HANA and AribaOversee mobile enablement and Fiori app deployment for field operationsLead IT testing and validation for quarterly S/4HANA updates and patchesImplement real-time monitoring and alerting for critical business processes  ABOUT YOU Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or Engineering8+ years total SAP experience with minimum 3+ years S/4HANA EAM/SCM modulesCRITICAL: Experience with S/4HANA post-upgrade optimization and stabilization in newly upgraded environmentsProven experience with Ariba P2P, sourcing, and supplier managementKnowledge of SAP Asset Manager (SSAM) and Resource Scheduling (RSH) modules Preferred Qualifications:Experience in Power Generation or Oil & Gas OperationsSAP S/4HANA certification in MM or SCM modulesKnowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts and IoT integrationUnderstanding of SAP BTP integration and API management THE PERKS Competitive salary Annual and long-term incentives available for select roles Company-matching pension planFlexible health benefits for you and your family Generous vacation and personal days Learning and development programsEmployee recognition and rewardsAnnual wellness allowance Explore our Employee Experience Booklet on our Careers site to see how we support your growth and wellbeing www.transalta.com/careers OUR CULTURE At TransAlta, we’re driven by a Culture of Results, Learning, and Purpose.
