CHEP is looking for a motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Boucherville, QB This role will lead a team of 3 technicians and will travel to 3–4 other plants in the region approx. 2 days/week.About the Role:Responsible for leading the service center maintenance departments to achieve the safe and effective maintenance, repair or replacement of plant facility systems.Key Responsibilities may include:Develop and manage a robust preventive maintenance program to ensure timely and effective maintenance, reducing equipment downtime and improving overall plant efficiency.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, actively enforcing corporate Zero Harm policies and conducting regular safety checks on equipment and building services.Implement process reliability systems and lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at achieving equipment reliability and efficiency targets.Manage the procurement, inventory, and budget control of spare parts and consumables, ensuring effective stock management to support maintenance activities.Lead and support capital expenditure projects related to equipment upgrades, new installations, and plant improvements, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.Monitor and optimize the use of utilities such as electricity, gas, and water, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.Ensure plant compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards through regular safety audits, equipment testing, and asset management processes.Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team, ensuring adequate staffing, training, and performance management to meet the operational needs of the plant.Support the activities of the maintenance team, ensuring efficient and effective maintenance operations.Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all plant equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled machinery and systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory control of spare parts, through our CMMS program.Collaborate with other departments, including production, EHS, quality, and engineering, to optimize plant operations and achieve production goals.Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.In conjunction with SCM and the Regional Maintenance Supervisor , manage maintenance budgets and control costs while maintaining high standards of service.Performance Metrics for Evaluation:Equipment Downtime: Measure the reduction in equipment downtime due to effective preventive maintenance and timely repairs.Maintenance Response Time: Track the average time taken to respond to and resolve maintenance issues.Safety Compliance: Monitor adherence to safety regulations and the number of safety incidents or violations.Maintenance Costs: Evaluate the ability to manage and reduce maintenance costs while maintaining service quality.Team Productivity: Assess the productivity and efficiency of the maintenance team, including the completion of scheduled tasks and projects.Training and Development: Measure the progress and improvement in the skills and knowledge of maintenance technicians through training programs.Customer Satisfaction: Gather feedback from other departments on the effectiveness and responsiveness of the maintenance team.Qualifications:Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintenance, with a strong understanding of industrial automation systems.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.Knowledge of safety standards and regulations, with a commitment to promoting a safe working environment.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Fluency in both French and EnglishEssential Qualifications:Licensed Maintenance Millwright/Industrial Electrician or equivalentAbility to lead through example and work as a subject matter expert to indirectly lead a team of Maintenance Mechanics.High Degree of Computer LiteracyAdditional Requirements:Familiarity with various PLC brands and programming languages.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call la production, l'EHS, la qualité et l'ingénierie, pour optimiser les opérations de l'usine et atteindre les objectifs de production.Offrir des possibilités de formation et de perfectionnement aux techniciens d'entretien afin d'améliorer leurs compétences et leurs connaissances.En collaboration avec SCM et le Superviseur de maintenance régional, gérez les budgets de maintenance et contrôlez les coûts tout en maintenant des normes de service élevées.Mesures de rendement pour l'évaluation :Temps d'arrêt de l'équipement : Mesurez la réduction des temps d'arrêt de l'équipement grâce à une maintenance préventive efficace et à des réparations en temps opportun.Temps de réponse à la maintenance : suivez le temps moyen nécessaire pour répondre et résoudre les problèmes de maintenance.Conformité à la sécurité : Surveillez le respect des règles de sécurité et le nombre d'incidents ou de violations de la sécurité.Coûts de maintenance : Évaluez la capacité à gérer et à réduire les coûts de maintenance tout en maintenant la qualité du service.Productivité de l'équipe : Évaluez la productivité et l'efficacité de l'équipe de maintenance, y compris l'achèvement des
