Door-to-Door Marketing Representative Student-Based | Performance-Based Compensation Position Overview We are a student-run painting and staining company seeking Door-to-Door Marketing Representatives to support residential lead generation through in-person outreach. This role is designed for students who are comfortable working in a field-based environment and who are motivated by performance, skill development, and accountability. The position requires consistent effort, professionalism, and the ability to apply coaching in real time. Representatives who succeed in this role are typically reliable, self-directed, and open to improving their communication and outreach approach over time. Key Responsibilities Representatives will be responsible for conducting structured marketing outreach within assigned residential neighbourhoods. Core responsibilities include: Traveling to assigned marketing routes using personal transportationEngaging homeowners in professional, respectful conversationsCommunicating the company's painting and staining services accuratelyIdentifying homeowner needs and determining potential interestCollecting and recording lead information with accuracy and integrityRepresenting the company's brand and values consistently in the fieldManaging time effectively while working independentlyTracking daily activity and performance metricsApplying coaching, feedback, and training to improve results over timeMaintaining punctuality, attendance, and consistency across scheduled workdays Compensation Structure This position operates under a performance-based compensation model. Compensation is determined by measurable outcomes, including: The quality and accuracy of leads generatedThe effectiveness of communication with homeownersConsistency and demonstrated improvement over time There is no fixed earnings cap. Compensation reflects individual performance rather than hours worked. Training & Development All representatives receive structured onboarding and ongoing coaching designed to support success in the role. Training focuses on: Field communication and outreach techniquesLead qualification standards and best practicesProfessional conduct and brand representationPerformance tracking and continuous improvement Coaching is direct and practical, with the expectation that representatives apply feedback to their day-to-day work. Requirements & Attributes for Success To perform effectively in this role, applicants must meet the following requirements and demonstrate qualities that support success: Be between 16–22 years of age and legally eligible to work in CanadaHave reliable access to a vehicle for transportation to assigned marketing routesBe comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periodsBe willing to engage in face-to-face conversations with homeownersDemonstrate reliability, punctuality, and professional conductBe able to work independently while following structured expectationsBe open to receiving feedback and applying coaching to improve performanceShow personal accountability for results and daily effortPossess or be willing to develop clear, confident communication skillsApproach the role with a willingness to learn and adapt No prior sales or marketing experience is required.
