This position will be located out of our North Bay Facility (Norgalv), you will be required to travel regularly to our Sturgeon Falls location and travel occasionally to our Saskatoon facility.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Environmental (E)Maintain, review, revise and continuously improve environmental documentation including work instructions, plans and policiesConduct or assist with environmental training sessionsInvestigate and document all environmental incidents including near miss and significant hazardsDocument and complete all required environmental records; track statistics for trends and suggest and/or lead improvementsOrganize/Conduct and document routine as well as mandatory environmental training (e.g. spills)Health and Safety (HS)Maintain, review, revise and continuously improve health and safety documentation including work instructions, safety plans and policiesLead risk assessments and implement TBRA’sBuild and verify Safe operating proceduresLead and support investigations and document all safety incidents including near miss and significant hazardsDocument and complete all required health and safety records; track statistics for trends and suggest and/or lead improvementsOversee and review legally required documents (e.g. SDS)Organize/audit Training both external and internalSchedule, conduct and document inspections; follow up on corrective actionsParticipate with the preparation of the management reviewSchedule Health and Safety Meetings, document and maintain agendas, minutes and actionsParticipate in the Return to Work (RTW) programWork closely with other coordinator(s) on Internal/External audit prep and corrective actions using MOC processConforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructionsOther duties as assignedQuality (Q)Maintain, review, revise and continuously improve quality documentation including testing instructions, records, work instructions and policiesConduct or assist with quality training sessionsMonitor and report on all quality activities, processes and proceduresTrack quality statistics for trends and suggest and/or lead improvementsEnsure compliance of manufactured products and purchased materials to DSI and CSA requirementsTrack non conformances and opportunities for improvementsPerform regular inspections and reviews to ensure employees adhere to quality policiesSchedule, conduct and document internal audits; follow up on corrective actionsParticipate in the preparation of external audits for quality related program(s)Participate with the preparation of the management reviewEnsure maintenance and calibration of test equipmentEnsure all ISO standards are adhered toWork closely with other departments on Internal/External audit prep and corrective actions using MOC processConforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructionsOther duties as assignedExperience:Minimum of 5 years experience in Health and SafetyMinimum 5 years experience in environment/sustainability and Quality controlCRSP or CSP designation or equivalent would be considered an assetInternal Auditor certification is considered an assetExperience in the relevant ISO programs pertaining to SHEQKnowledge of galvanizing is considered an assetKnowledge of workplace requirements, legislation and compliance for construction/industrial in Ontario.Experience in investigations and root cause analysis.Strong verbal/written communication skills.Demonstrated strong organizational skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities.Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems, or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation and the lawAbility to work independently.Strong organizational skills and follow through on commitments and deadlinesAbility to comfortably interact with team members and leaders at all levelsStrong knowledge of Ontario Industrial Regulations, OSHA and risk assessmentsHands on experience in SOP developmentCompetent hands on and theory trainingWhat We Offer:Hands-on exposure to ground support product manufacturing and global operationsA collaborative and growth-oriented culture that values initiative, continuous improvement, and innovationA meaningful role where you can make a tangible impact on business performance and decision-makingA place on an ambitious and high-performing team within a globally recognized industry leaderSupport to help you reach your full professional potential and ongoing continuous development, training, and career growth opportunitiesAn excellent comprehensive compensation package including a pension plan with matching, competitive health, dental, life and disability benefits.
