Serving two primary markets – passenger vehicle and commercial truck – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities. Job Purpose:The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience and looking for anopportunity to expand their knowledge and skills. We need a go-getter, with a positive attitude and the drive andambition to work in an exciting, fast-paced environment with competing priorities and high expectations. This rolewill support payroll activities for Dana Canada locations. Job Duties & Responsibilities:Support the HR Manager in various administrative responsibilities including the areas of on-boarding,orientation, transfer, exit, and assignment changesProactively manage employee issues, including leaves, attendance, ethics points and all other employee-related issues requiring HR involvement. Ensure that performance issues are appropriately documented and monitoredSupport & complete payroll processManage employee attendance and ensure timely issuing of disciplinesGenerate HR analytical reports and metrics using HRIS systemMaintain employee personnel recordsAssist with employee engagement initiatives to promote an engaged and empowered workforceRespond to day-to-day HR employee inquiries and requestsAssist with workplace investigations and issue discipline where deemed necessaryAdministers human resources policies, procedures and programs, including disability, tuition reimbursement,safety, work conduct, etcWill be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned Education & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field requiredMinimum of 2 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environmentPayroll processing experience for both hourly and salaried employees, including familiarization with CanadaEI processesKnowledgeable in Ontario employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organizationdevelopment, employee relations, safety, and trainingExperience with ADP and SAP is requiredExperience with SuccessFactors a plusExcellent written & oral communication skillsStrong team building & people skills including the ability to resolve conflicting interests & obtain cooperationStrong interpersonal skills & ability to easily build credibility with internal customers & associates.Organizational skills – ability to manage high workload of data and multitask proficientlyProficiency in Windows environment, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft OutlookJob PurposeJob Description Content for Job Profiles is a work in progress.
