Heavy Equipment Field Technician

Brandt is currently seeking Heavy Equipment Field Technicians for our Mississauga Construction & Forestry location. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction, aggregate/ crushing units, pavers/ compaction and forestry-based equipment and attachments in a field environment. Duties & Responsibilities Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy duty equipment Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently Dismantle, repair, and assemble industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications Operate hoisting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, and/or repair activities Test and provide constructive feedback on existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery Prepare electronic inspection and service reports Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required Other duties as required #LI-OnsiteRequired Skills Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Proven computer and technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work. Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs. Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure. Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues. A commitment to high quality customer service with a strong people orientation. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Required Experience Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment considered an asset Experience with electrical diagnosis /troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset Must be committed to customer service and service excellence Discover The Brandt Advantage When you work for Brandt, we work for you.
