JOB SUMMARY As a press brake operator, you will be primarily responsible for die and punch adjustment. You will bend metal parts using a VICLA press brake and do the quality control of the bends. WE OFFER Salary starting at $25.65 per hour depending on experience. 40 hours/week schedule, Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Payroll processed weekly. Work equipment provided after probation period (clothing, boots, etc.). And more... DAILY TASKS Interpret plans and adjust die and punch according to specifications. Perform set-up on our VICLA press brake. Fold metal parts (steel and aluminum) with precision using our VICLA press brake. Perform quality control checks on bends using measuring tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.). Collaborate with team members to optimize bending processes. Observe and follow safety rules and keep your work area clean and safe. Any other related tasks. REQUIREMENTS, QUALITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED Education: DEP (Diploma of vocational studies) in a relevant field such as precision sheet metal work. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating press brakes in the steel/aluminum industry. Ability to read/interpret plans. Capicity to make precise adjustments. Knowledge of metric and imperial systems. Experience with laser machines is an asset. Qualities sought Reliability, sense of responsibility. Natural leadership: ability to motivate others, share knowledge and propose solutions. Dynamism, teamwork and interpersonal skills. Organizational skills, autonomy and throroughness. Good physical condition; Good verbal and written communication in French.
