Raytheon ELCAN is located in Midland Ontario, which offers a perfect blend of urban amenities and natural beauty nestled on the shores of Georgian Bay, making it an ideal place to work and live.What you will do:You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvement through process and value stream mapping, line balancing, capacity analysis, factory layouts, lean manufacturing principles and strategic planning for automation and capital expenditures. This individual will:Developing production area models using process flows, value stream maps, Pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to capture material flow, information exchange, and key performance metricsAnalyzing operational data and performance metrics to identify issues and improvement opportunitiesContributing to strategic roadmaps focused on capacity, automation, digital transformation, infrastructure, and new technology integrationPartnering with program management, operations, facilities, and engineering teams to optimize factory layout and support program needsLeading FMEA reviews, scrap material analyses, feasibility studies, and ROI-based cost-benefit evaluationsEducation and Technical Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent in engineering/science)3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (defense industry preferred)Working towards or eligible for P.Eng licenseExperience with high-mix, mid-volume production environmentsFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principlesExperience with capacity analysis, manufacturing technologies, production systems, and performance metricsKnowledge of simulation toolsStrong leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skillsExcellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities
