Your Key Responsibilities Creates engineering drawings in AutoCAD and MicroStation, based on sketches and other design information provided by others Ensures that drawings are prepared based on specific project drafting standards Ensures accuracy of scale and confirm the accuracy of geometric information presented on drawings Performs quantity takeoffs based on drawing information Your Capabilities and Credentials Ability to register with OACETT as an Associate in pursuit of the C.E.T. designation Proficient with AutoCAD and MicroStation software for bridge / structural drafting and design Ability to visualize and project 3D objects into 2D views (and vice-versa) Proven ability to meet deadlines and to work in a group environment Quality and Drawing Management Systems Education and Experience Technical College Diploma in Structural Engineering Technology (or equivalent work experience) Minimum 2 years' experience in a structural CAD role preferably in bridge design Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
