Reports security/safety problems to the Maintenance Coordinator and any incident occurring while on duty to a supervisor by completing incident reports. Assists in the testing of emergency response systems for the facility and with completion of fire drills as required and follows the process in place for key control. Ensures maintenance equipment and closets are secured as per facility policy and rooms that have restricted access are kept locked i.e., elevator room. Responds to resident requests promptly and in accordance with Facility policies and procedures. Completes common area housekeeping duties as per assignment and garbage removal and cleaning of washrooms, offices and all common spaces as required as outlined within daily job routines. Cleans suites for new move-ins, checks and inspects as needed, and handles small repairs like paint touch-ups and replacing bulbs or batteries. About You In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring: High School Diploma or completion of equivalent education Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a hotel, retirement living, or other hospitality-based industry Diploma in Security Services, Hospitality, or Tourism, is considered an asset Previous experience in construction or building maintenance is considered an asset Previous experience in industrial cleaning is considered an asset Previous experience in provision of security services is an asset About Us Shannex is a family-owned organization with a vision of Better Living for every stage of life.
