Health Care Aide required for seniors' living facility.Green Acres Foundation is seeking a team-oriented multi-tasker who is flexible, enthusiastic, and has a positive attitude to help as a Health Care Aide at our facility in Coaldale, Alberta.Does this sound like you? If it is, you will perform duties that require considerable confidentiality, initiative, tact, and independent judgement. We are a self-motivated bunch who finds coming to work fun, so strong interpersonal and organizational skills are a MUST.About the position:This is a permanent FTE 0.7 part-time position.The position offers an average of 26.25 hours per week over a 6-week cycle, but more shifts may be offered based on availability.Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.Shifts to cover in this position are: 6am to 12:30pm, 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 8pm, 2pm to 10pm, and/or 4pm to 10pm.Basic responsibilities of the position include:Assisting residents with the activities of daily livingProviding personal care to residentsRespond to emergency calls as requiredAssisting residents with medicationsAssisting with housekeeping, meal preparation/service, and recreational activitiesCompete all necessary charting, paperwork, and reporting requirement in a clear, concise, and timely mannerMaintain a neat, clean, pleasant, home-like environment for the residentsRequirements for the position:Health Care Aide CertificateCurrent satisfactory Criminal Record Check (within the last 6 months)Active status on the Alberta Health Care Aide DirectoryCompletion of Bridging Modules for Health Care Aide Directory (if applicable)Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken EnglishFirst Aid Certification, Food Safety, and WHMIS Training is an asset.If you are an HCA with experience providing personal care to seniors, please applyGreen Acres Foundation has been voted Best of the Best in Seniors' Housing every year since 2018Green Acres Foundation recognizes the diversity within the communities in which we serve and strive to ensure that our housing program & services, our facilities, and our employment opportunities are inclusive to all people.
