Advisors are called upon to assess the specific needs of each member and client, and provide support in choosing the appropriate coverage, while promoting our personalized services. Needs include follow up on files, analyze renewals requiring special underwriting, and correct contracts as needed.The goal is to maintain the business relationship and be first in the hearts of our clients. At Desjardins, our insurance agents are evaluated on human objectives that enable them to deliver quality service, without the pressure of sales. Claims Advisor – Auto Physical DamageThe Claims Advisor (adjuster) takes care of our clients with empathy and professionalism and investigates the automobile and home claims files. They are called upon to work in partnership with all parties in the claims settlement process, while keeping the progress of files up to date in our claims management system. Additionally, they conduct investigations to assess damage, estimate costs and market value, review reports and other documents, and determine settlement amounts. The role of a Claims Advisor evolves with the complexity of the files and to develop in other related profiles to highlight their versatility. Rain or shine, our claims adjusters are in action. They handle the claims assigned to them from start to finish, with the possibility of increasing their base salary by being compensated for additional cases they handle.Claims Reporting SpecialistThe Claims Reporting Specialists are an integral part of the claims process and claims experience for our clients. At the front line, they take First Notice of Loss (FNOL) calls from our clients from the scene of an accident or post damage to their properties following floods, fire, hail and other disasters. Claims Reposting Specialists handle each call with care, empathy and calm demeanour. Leveraging their active listening skills, they assess the client’s state (mental and physical) and react accordingly.
