QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceGraduation from an approved Radiology Technologist Diploma program and certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Eligible for membership with CAMRT.CAMRT Computed Tomography certification, Intravenous (IV) certification, knowledge of angiography and interventional procedures, and three (3) years recent, related experience in an acute hospital setting, including one (1) year performing Computed Tomography, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Skills And AbilitiesAbility to demonstrate knowledge of computed tomography and angiography proceduresAbility to demonstrate familiarity with medical imaging and patient information systems (HIS/RIS, PACS, Radnet)Ability to organize and prioritize workAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingAbility to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary teamAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationshipsPhysical ability to meet the requirements of the jobAbility to operate related equipment, such as a computerAbility to establish and maintain effective work relationships with patients and all levels of departmental and Society personnel.Good communication skills.Ability to keep abreast of technological developments in the field to ensure high standards of patient care.Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
