Equipment Operator BC Eco Industrial Services are looking for an Equipment Operator to join our chipping, grinding and Log Yard operations in South Okanagan to Boundary region BC . It is our great pleasure to extend the following benefits to all Sutherland Group team members: Pension Program with Sutherland Group matching contributions up to 100%, starting at 3%, increasing in graduated increments and topping out at 5% after 8 years.Extended health benefits program through a cost shared benefits plan.Confidential Employee Family Assistance ProgramHealth & Safety Policy & Programs KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Wheel Loader: moving chips, supplying the chippers with logsLog Loader: unloading trucks, feeding the chippers, down decking logsChipper: feeding pulp logsOperate equipment in a safe and efficient manner, perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance.Operate other heavy equipment as required and instructed by site supervisors.Ability to travel to various job sites as required.Ensure company policies, core values and culture are being consistently upheld.General job set-up, site clean up, and materials removal. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS As a member of the BC Eco team, we expect you bring the following to the table: Minimum 2 years' experience operating Wheel Loader, Log Loader or ExcavatorPreferrable experience using a Chipper Mechanical aptitude and capable of performing basic daily equipment maintenance is a necessity. Motivated self-starter with positive attitude and proven safety record.Experience running other types of heavy equipment would be an asset.Valid Class 5 driver's licence.Physically fit and able to walk uneven ground, chip piles and log yard locations.Team player who is willing to pitch in wherever needed.
