What you’ll do: Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy Department. Duties will include, but are not limited to:- Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely- Provide patient counselling and education on prescription and non-prescription medications- Administer injections/immunizations- Assist customers with locating merchandise on the sales floor- Review patient profiles to identify drug related problems and monitor medication adherence- Complete adjudication and sale of prescriptions and other purchases using the pharmacy software and point of sale (POS) systems- Support accurate pricing, ordering, and receiving procedures to minimize shrink and optimize sales- Supervise and train other dispensary staff as required to maintain efficient workflow within the dispensary- Comply with all legal requirements (Federal and Provincial) and Pharmacy Standards of Practice- Comply with Homestead Co-op policies and procedures and follow Health and Safety procedures.Who you are:You are looking for a career in Retail and:- You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.- You have effective decision-making skills and the ability to problem solve.- You have excellent customer service skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.- You have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.- You are highly motivated, self-directed, and work well independently.- You are honest and trustworthy, are results-orientated and strive to be the best in what you do.- Must be able to work flexible hours 1 to 2 days per week during hours of operation- The candidate must be fully licensed and registered with CPhM to practice in Manitoba- Candidates with injection certification and other advanced practice certificates are preferred.- Experience with Kroll Pharmacy Software is an asset.Core Competencies:Proven abilities in the following competencies are considered an asset:1.
