Position Summary:Reporting to the Food Service Supervisor, the Dietary Helper is responsible for the production and distribution of food. The Dietary Helper prepares hot and cold food items, completion of food requisitions, cleaning and sanitizing dishes, work surface and equipment, food tray delivery and pick up. The Dietary Helper complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment. Qualifications: 1 year of practical experience in food service environment – preferred Demonstrates mature, professional and responsible attitude Ability to work within a collaborative team environment Ability to understand/read production sheets, recipes and menus Excellent communication skills; Proficiency in French language is an asset Education and/or Certification: Food Handlers Certification – required Our hiring decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and hospital needs, we strongly encourage applicants from all backgrounds.
