Join ENMAX Power Corporation as a Tending Worker and play a vital role in supporting safe and efficient field operations. In this hands-on role, you’ll help safeguard workers and equipment, monitor confined spaces, and contribute to a strong safety culture while working outdoors in all weather conditions.Major ResponsibilitiesAdhere to the Province of Alberta, ENMAX Corporation, A.E.U.C. (Alberta Electrical Utility Code) and Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulationsProvide confined space support under the direction of the LeadhandSafeguard workers, the public, and equipment at work sitesMonitor confined spaces and maintain surveillance throughout operationsIdentify and control potential hazardsMaintain constant communication with workers inside confined spacesRemain stationed at or near the confined space entrance unless properly relieved by another trained attendantBe trained and prepared to initiate emergency and evacuation proceduresConduct equipment inspections and perform routine maintenanceEnsure proper care and use of vehicles, tools, and work sitesMaintain accurate documentation and safety recordsQualifications & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GEDMust have a valid Province of Alberta driver’s license, minimum Class 5 (non-GDL)Ability to identify workplace hazards, participate in safety meetings, and contribute to a culture of safetyDemonstrated teamwork and communication skillsConfined Space certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditionsMust have or be willing to obtain First Aid & CPRMust be willing to upgrade qualifications as requiredMust be physically fit and capable of lifting 50 lbsCompetenciesStrong Safety Orientation (critical)InitiativeCustomer ServiceCommunication (critical)TeamworkAttention to detailENMAX Values: Safety, Integrity, Accountability, Service, Teamwork, Agility, InnovationDid we mention the ENMAX Advantage?
