Reporting to the Foreman at various sites, a Maintenance Hydrovac Operator is responsible for operating the Hydrovac truck in a safe and efficient manner. This includes reading and understanding locates, Hydrovacing buried facilities using the appropriate methodology as designated by the utility owner.
How You'll Add Value
Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment Complete a thorough pre-trip inspection of assigned vehicles and periodically throughout a shift Record deficiencies and report to Maintenance Superintendent and appropriate repair facility team members Operate Hydrovac trucks and other equipment in a safe and effective manner while maintaining the unit's cleanliness and keeping a daily logbook in compliance with the Commercial Motor Vehicle Act Responsible for successful completion of Hydro Excavation projects including utility line exposure, debris removal, slot trenching, digging, etc. Set up and inspect grounding and/or bonding procedures for Hydrovac operation Complete all required paperwork properly and within a timely manner Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, as well as routine maintenance Operate additional heavy equipment as required to support project needs ,The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:
Qualifications & Experience
Physically capable of lifting and carrying at least 50 lbs repetitively on a regular basis Valid Class 3 Driver's License with a Driver's Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractionsHow We Make It Count
