You’ll join a collaborative and growing team of transportation professionals who will support your development as you build foundational skills in transportation planning, traffic engineering, and operational analysis. At EXP, you’ll gain hands on project experience, mentorship from senior team members, and exposure to a wide variety of transportation projects across Ontario.What a day at EXP has in store for youIn this role, you’ll support our transportation team with tasks such as:Assisting with transportation planning and traffic operations analyses, including:Traffic impact studies for land development projectsEnvironmental assessment–related traffic analysisTransportation master plan research and supportOperational analysis, including exposure to various micro simulation toolsHelping prepare technical reports, figures, and presentations under the guidance of senior engineers and technologistsDeveloping basic drawings with support and direction of senior engineers and technologistsSupporting project coordination tasks such as scheduling, data collection, documentation, and quality checksParticipating in meetings and presentations with internal team members and occasionally withmunicipal partners (with support and mentorship)Contributing to the positive, collaborative team culture by bringing curiosity, professionalism, and a willingness to learnWhat your experience looks likeWe’re looking for a new graduate who is ready to learn and grow. The ideal candidate brings:A Degree or Advanced Diploma in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply)Interest in developing skills in transportation planning, traffic operations, and transportation designFamiliarity with (or interest in learning) traffic and transportation software such as Synchro, VISSIM, Aimsun, or EMMEBasic knowledge on design software such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, or Civil 3DStrong communication skills, including technical writing and presenting information clearlyGood organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasksA collaborative attitude and strong interpersonal skills focused on client service and teamworkValid Ontario driver’s license (G2 or higher) is required. for occasional site visitsMembership or interest in joining ITE Canada is considered an assetThis job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.The salary range for this role is between $55.5K - $73K.
