Job DescriptionMission CIMA+ is seeking a Co-op Student to join our Transportation team in Saskatoon. In this role, you will gain practical field experience by assisting with construction inspection and survey work on urban roadway, drainage, and highway projects. You will also help prepare as-built documentation and support contract administration to ensure projects are delivered successfully. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to collaborate with our team of professionals and technical staff on design and construction projects for both public and private clients. Previous industry experience is an asset but not required. At CIMA+, we are committed to your growth; offering hands-on training, mentorship, and a supportive team environment to help you develop professionally. Main Responsibilities Assist with construction inspection on active transportation projects, ensuring work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards Support survey crews with layout, measurements, and data collection using GPS, total station and rod & level equipment Record and track daily site activities, including quantities, contractor progress, and work progress Document construction activities through field notes, photos, and inspection reports Assist with identifying and reporting deficiencies, safety concerns, and schedule impacts Prepare as-built CAD drawings and update project records as required Support contract administration tasks such as reviewing quality control documentation and preparing closeout documents Participate in Health, Safety, and Environment initiativesQualificationsProfile Student in Civil Engineering Technologies  Interested in construction inspection, surveying and contract administration Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships and have demonstrated teamwork skills  Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping  Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions, at times away from the office location Knowledge of Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways, City of Saskatoon and City of Regina Specifications is considered an asset Strong Microsoft Office suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Familiarity with Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD is considered an asset Ability to lift 20 kilograms  Valid Class 5 driver’s license   The salary for this position ranges from $24.15 to $30.45 per hour, depending on your academic profile, the number of credits earned, and your previous co-op or internship experience.
