This position is primarily responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of system solutions for the investment management and trading platform, as well as various web applications. The successful candidate will work closely with business analysts and application developers to identify system requirements and implement quality technical solutions. This role also requires assisting the application support team as needed with production issues. Please Note: This is a one year temporary assignment.

What You Will Do

Communicate with business analysts to understand/define business needs and document workflows. Convert business requirements into functional specifications. Partner with the system architect and programmer analysts to build systems and solutions that fit business requirements. Build automated reports and dashboards with the help of reporting tools. Produce quality test plans and manage all aspects of system and user testing.

What You Will Bring

5-8 years of experience as business/systems analyst within the Investment Management, Brokerage or Financial Industry.  Experience in report development, design techniques, and use of report development tools such as Microsoft Report Builder (SSRS) or similar reporting tools. Confident working with Charles River IMS, or similar market data systems/market trading software (front / middle office systems) Strong understanding of Capital Markets (bonds, equity etc.) Proficiency in SQL, sufficient to analyze data and investigate stored procedures written in Transact SQL.
