Job Summary Come work as a Painter with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Painter to join the Plant Maintenance team at UBC Hospital in Vancouver, BC. Apply today to join our teamAs a Painter with VCH you will: Perform skilled painting work in the preparation of materials, equipment and surfaces, and the selection and application of paint, varnish, stain, wall coverings and/or other finishes.Paint and redecorate walls, woodwork, furniture and fixtures, interior and exterior surfaces in compliance with applicable codes and regulations, and performs other routine maintenance duties. Qualifications Education & ExperienceCertificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Painter and Decorator recognized by the Province of .Two years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Ability to deal with others effectively.Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.Ability to organize work.Ability to operate related equipment.
