C-Store Supervisor

If you are a member, then you're an owner.Delta Co-op Ltd. has over 150 employees serving over 7,000 members in our surrounding communities through the provision of goods and services in the areas of grocery, food, liquor, pharmacy, petroleum and lubricants, home and building solutions, general merchandise, and agricultural supplies. What you'll do: Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Delta Co-operative’s vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.Lead a culture of safety and maximize operational efficiency.Assist with effectively leading, coaching, and managing the development and direction of the reporting team members.Assist in overseeing the margins, expenses, inventory, and sales of the store as required.Ensure the department is displaying, stocking, and rotating merchandise as per company policy and standard with a focus on maintaining image and brand standards.Provide training to gas bar clerks for all store duties and for opening and closing procedures.Be familiar with and adhere to Delta Co-op policies such as selling of age restricted items and all government regulations relating to tobacco, lottery and liquor.Complete all necessary daily reports as needed, including daily cash up and reconciliations.Support and follow the Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, procedures and train gas bar clerks accordingly.Complete other duties as required.Who you are: You have completed grade 12 or have a combination of relevant experience; 1+ years of retail sales experience in a supervisory role, especially in the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is preferred.You have strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills and the ability to successfully motivate and work with team members.You are able to strategically plan and organize both your own tasks and those of your team, delegating effectively.You are honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.You have experience with C-Store/Gas Bar operations.You are attentive to detail and have strong cash management skills.You must be willing to obtain propane dispenser & WHMIS certifications.You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, are an effective planner, and have superb time management skills.You have Point of Sale experience and have the ability to work in a fast paced, guest facing environment.You have a valid Class 5 license.You have the ability to fulfill the physical job requirements – manual labour is required.You have a flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.  Who you are: looking for a career in Customer Service and:Knowledge and experience with retails is an asset.You must be available to work days, and weekends.You are honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most.At Delta Co-op our Team Members receive competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits package, Employee Family Assistance Program, an employer-contributed pension plan, Team Member incentives, professional development and training opportunities.
