Job Posting HEAD INSTRUCTOR – Various Position: Head InstructorPrograms: March Break 2026 and Summer 2026Employer: Appleby College – Appleby Camps (Oakville, ON) About the RoleHead Instructors lead high-quality camp programming, mentor junior staff, and create a safe, supportive, and engaging experience for participants. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy teaching, coaching, and leading groups in dynamic program areas. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional programming in a designated specialty area (athletics, arts, STEM, outdoors, waterfront, leadership, etc.). Supervise and support Instructors and Volunteer Instructors. Uphold safety standards and risk management practices. Design age-appropriate, inclusive, and engaging lesson plans. Communicate professionally with families, campers, and staff teams. Contribute to a positive, team-focused camp culture. Qualifications Experience working with children or youth in camp, coaching, recreation, educational, or community settings. Strong leadership, communication, and group management skills. Creativity and confidence in leading skill-based activities. Standard First Aid & CPR–C (required by start date). Additional certifications may be required depending on the program area (e.g., NL, ORCKA, NCCP, HIGH FIVE). Assets Previous camp or program leadership experience. Experience supervising peers or volunteers. Specialized skills or certifications relevant to a program area. Contract
