Job DescriptionThe Produce Lead serves as a liaison between Produce team members and the Market Manager to ensure that Produce & Pronto is properly stocked and displayed attractively across Eataly’s retail department. The Produce Lead promotes exceptional guest service on the retail team, using interpersonal skills and product knowledge to drive sales and improve guest satisfaction. Reports to the Market Manager.Ensures quality and freshness of all produce in the retail operations in accordance with Eataly’s quality standards. Ensure that produce shelves, displays, aisles, preparation and storage areas are in clean and orderly condition, and that product is adequately stocked and rotated. Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of produce (local, organic, farms, sustainability, etc.); maintain awareness of new products and regularly incorporate new products into the overall produce mix. Demonstrate exceptional customer service in accordance to Eataly’s service standards. Collaborates with the Warehouse team to maintain proper stock levels, organizing back stock and warehouse storage effectively and efficientlyFollows order and inventory procedures and receives deliveries, verifying order and invoice accuracyAssists with delegating tasks, supervising, training and motivating Produce AssociatesMaintains accurate department signage, pricing and labellingRotates products according to First In First Out (FIFO) standardsInspects shelves and immediately removes expired or damaged merchandiseAssesses departmental food waste with department heads and diverts waste to donationsPartners with Guest Relations, Grocery, and Events & Education to coordinate product demosMaintains safe and cleanly work conditions and compliance with state and federal regulationsPerforms light cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting and packaging disposal as necessaryPerforms other duties as required or assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent1+ year of experience in groceryProactive and able to multitaskExcellent communication skillsKnowledge of Italian food and beverage preferredJob RequirementsAvailability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including nights and weekendsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squattingAbility to use a hand truck, cart, box cutter, ladder and cleaning suppliesCompensation for this role is CAD $21.00 hourly.Additional InformationBenefits and PerksMedical, Dental, Vision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Parental LeaveRRSPBonus programFree family meal dailyDiscounts at EatalyClasses on products and Italian cuisineReferral bonus programand more
