GE Environmental, a division of the Municipal Group of Companies, is an environmental services company that has been servicing the South Shore since 1984. Specializing in the collection and transport of garbage and recycling and offering a wide range of equipment and containers. We are currently seeking Class 3 Truck Drivers based out of Bridgewater, NS. Company Highlights: Day shifts, Monday to Friday (with an early morning start time)Occasional variations from the schedule may be required to meet contractual obligations and holiday schedulesCompetitive compensation, and benefits package available after three months of continuous employmentThe chance to work with a stable, growing company with numerous divisions across Eastern Canada. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Drive and load truck in a safe and efficient manner on assigned routes according to contractual requirementsEnsure routes are completed in a timely and safe mannerResponsible for daily pre and post-trip inspections of truckLoad and unload materials, tools, and equipment under varying traffic and road conditionsMaintain radio contact with team and supervisor to receive instructions and report any issues on route or with the vehicle.Immediately report any driving infractions and/or suspensionsBe aware of your surroundings at all timesEnsure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the taskProtect and promote the interest of this company in all matters and take actions as required to satisfy such responsibilitiesEnsure the safety of fellow employeesPerform other duties as assigned.
