Perform final preparation, loading & inspection of complicated optical elements. TASKS TO BE ACCOMPLISHEDCleaning / sandblasting of coating system parts and toolingMaintenance of ancillary equipment – sandblaster, central vacuum system, humidity test chamberOrganization of tooling on shelves and in cabinetsBasic preparation, setup and loading of coating system chambersMaintain stock of lab supplies in coating roomClerical duties involved with the movement of product through productionREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIESAbility to work independently and with minimal supervisionAbility to manually handle delicate optic parts thus ensuring quality and integrity of productMechanical and electrical aptitudeAbility to work and communicate well with othersAbility to comprehend and follow detailed instructionsAbility to read and interpret drawingsGood verbal and written command of the English languageEXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSPost secondary diploma in Photonics or Physical Sciences Work experience in a lab environment would be a definite assetAt L3Harris, we foster an inclusive and equitable workplace.
