SCOPE OF POSITION The Senior Analyst, Compliance Operations position reports to the Compliance Manager, Compliance Operations. The primary focus of the role is policy management and related activities that enable compliance and understanding of key organizationalobjectivesas well as applicable regulatory requirements.This role includes the coordination and execution of administrative tasks that support the effectiveness ofOMERSpolicy program. Responsibilities encompassmanaging projects simultaneously,organizingand keepingdocumentationup to date,andworking with various stakeholders across the organization.2. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the managementand administrationof the existing policy program; prompt timely reviews and engagement of relevant stakeholders with the objective of delivering policy documents that are fit for purpose.Convey subject matterexpertiseand promote best practices to achieve consistency with OMERS policyframework;andattend to inquiriesrelated topolicy matters.Manage andmonitorversion control, track changesduring policy reviews, andensurethat all stakeholders are informed of updates tomaintainconsistency and transparency across the organization.Maintain and update policy documents to ensure accuracy and relevance. Thisincludescoordinatingamendmentswith subject matterexperts andensuringtimelypublication on internalandexternal websites.Work collaboratively with colleagues from across the organization to reach strategicobjectives;servingas a liaison to gather feedback and resolve issues for internal stakeholders.Participate in monitoring and testing of various compliance activities toestablishinsights and meaningful policy guidance.Create and/or enhance compliance management process documentation (e.g., compliance procedures, compliance projectplanningtemplatesetc.)Proactively review current practices, analyze andidentifypotential design and process improvements for the implementation of new compliance projects and processes.Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of organizational processes, as well as relevant regulatory and technology requirements.Review emerging industry/regulatory trends, conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to support policy and process recommendations based on OMERS strategy and stakeholder needs.QUALIFICATIONSExperience:University degree or college program graduate.Related work experience in compliance or a similar role.At least 3-4 years of relevant management experience including regulatory compliance and policy program management.Technical Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated ability to plan logicallyandstrategically,andmonitor progress using effective controls and success criteria.Must be highly organized with the ability to create and execute processes relevant to the role.Strong interpersonal skills withanability to work across multiple levels within the organization.Exceptional attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex requirements to a range of audiences through a variety of channels.Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, setprioritiesandidentifyany areas that require further research.Initiative-taker and comfortable working both collaborativelyandindependently.Comfortable and experienced in performing repetitive and administrative tasks with accuracyandefficiency.Highproficiencywith Microsoft Word and PowerPoint,and intermediate user of Excel and SharePoint.
